Ashley Oshiro is a Calgary-based artist working primarily in acrylic, creating contemporary paintings for private and corporate spaces. She works with private and corporate clients to create custom artwork tailored to specific spaces. Her work is characterized by bold brushwork, strong composition, and vibrant colour.
Her portfolio spans a range of subjects, including floral, landscape, and architectural works, with Calgary street scenes forming a recognizable part of her practice.
Before pursuing art full-time, Ashley worked as an engineer in the oil and gas industry—an experience that continues to influence her approach to composition, structure, and large-scale work. She has collaborated with organizations including Enmax and CSV Midstream, creating artwork that reflects both place and identity within professional environments.
Born and raised in Calgary, Ashley continues to build her practice in the city she calls home. As a Chinese Canadian artist, her work is shaped by both cultural background and lived experience. She lives in Calgary with her husband and two children.
